smoking ground up weed seeds

You’ve made it to the party, and as it turns out, you and your friends are the only ones with weed! That also means, however, that there’s still no grinder. You don’t feel like shaking a plastic container in front of people, and the germaphobes will get put off if you go hands-on. Still, the people need to get their smoke on.

Watch your fingers! You’ll end up touching the sharp points sooner than you might realise.
• Almost any of the ends should work. However, give preference to ends with smaller openings, as that’ll give you the ideal consistency.
• You might have a hard time getting weed out of the crevices. Keep a poker around to dig through them and get all of your bud.
Wash off the grater thoroughly to make sure you get rid of the scent and residue.

Ideally, you should be using a non-serrated blade, preferably a chef’s knife. However, almost any knife will do as long as it’s got a decently sharp blade.

Let your nugs dry out for a few hours outside a container. This will make them much easier to break down.
Clean it off well before and after use. That way, you avoid smoking regular herbs or eating “herb” with your dinner.
• It might take some time, especially if the pestle is smooth and rounded.
• Make sure you don’t grind it down too hard.

An equally effective option, there’s no reason you can’t treat your favourite greens like the kind you eat. It’s also probably one of the simplest methods on the list. Throw your weed on the cutting board and dice it until you’ve got it at a ground, but not powdery, consistency.

If you don’t have a grinder to hand, you can always make your own homemade solution. With a few basic tools and minimal DIY skills, you can create an effective device to grind up your cannabis flowers.

Pizza cutters aren’t the sharpest of implements, but sometimes you just need to work with what you’ve got. If you’re without a grinder or sharp blade, a pizza cutter will suffice! After you’ve processed and smoked your cannabis, you can use the same tool to help satisfy the munchies.

Smoking or vaping ground weed will really bring out the natural flavours of its terpene profile. As you open the main chamber of your grinder, you can expect the natural odour of the strain to overwhelm you. While some people may only care about getting high, many will find that the improved taste and flavour of ground bud really enhances their smoking experience.

After setting your bud in place, put the lid back on. Press it down, shutting it tightly, twisting it a bit if need be. Give the lid about 10 to 15 clockwise rotations, while applying a bit of pressure. Tap the sides and the top of the grinder a couple of times during and after the grinding to make sure everything gets processed.

WHAT KINDS OF GRINDERS ARE THERE?

Card grinders are pretty rare out in the wild. While they may be easy to store and carry, they are also messier. Card grinders are built similarly to food graters. They are composed of a single piece of metal with a multitude of small holes, or a fine screen, for grinding purposes. Card grinders are very inexpensive and cost-effective.

Grinding your weed before smoking or vaping it, will simply make it much easier to use. You will also find that grinding cannabis will make it easier to carry, and more enjoyable to smoke.

This should give you access to the main chamber, allowing to insert your buds. Use your fingers to break up the bigger nugs that don’t fit well. Make sure to avoid placing anything in the centre of the chamber. This is where the grinder pivots, and in case of metal grinders, there tends to be a magnet to help keep the lid on tightly. Anything placed in the middle will not be ground.

Weed stems are the small, stick-like pieces that sometimes end up in the cannabis flower you buy from the dispensary. Depending on the quality of flower you bought, you may end up with a few or more stems in your haul. For example, shake bought from dispensaries tends to contain more stems than non-shake flower. Unlike the dense buds of the cannabis plant, weed stems contain very little to no THC (the main active ingredient in cannabis).

Another excellent way to make use of your stems is by making a cannabis-infused tea. Cannatea is a good choice for when you only have a small number of stems you want to use.

Alternative uses for weed stems

Much like the infused butter recipe, you can decarboxylate any leftover weed stems with 7-10 grams of dried cannabis. After this process has been completed, you can infuse the cannabis and stems with coconut oil. This creates the base for many cannabis topical recipes, like lip balms and lotions.

Weed stems can be a gray area for the average cannabis smoker.

For example, our cannabis-infused tea recipe only requires 2 teaspoons of weed stems and is ready to drink in about ten minutes. This recipe is flexible and allows you to customize with different tea flavors until you find your ideal combination.
