Dwarf weed seeds can be obtained as a monster drop, by pickpocketing Master Farmers or bought from the Vinesweeper minigame for 9000 points each.
Planting dwarf weed seeds are very profitable, so therefore players are advised to make sure that the herb does not die. Supercompost (or Fertile Soil spell) is strongly recommended, as this is the best way of preventing your herbs from getting disease. Or better yet, if you have completed My Arm’s Big Adventure, plant it in the disease-free herb patch on top of the Troll Stronghold, to ensure that your dwarf weed doesn’t die. Even if you plant it there however, you should still use supercompost to increase your yield and profit.
Dwarf weed seeds can be planted in a herb patch in order to produce grimy dwarf weeds. This requires a Farming level of 79.
A nearby gardener will not watch over your growing dwarf weed.
The following table shows the profit yield, assuming all the herbs and seeds are purchased/sold at the Grand Exchange, for the guide price. If the herb dies, you will lose -822 coins.
I'm doing Lanta's, it really comes down to which one you really want more xp or gp.
I am a really experienced farmer who wanted to know what the profits for all main herbs were. And instead of just using estimated rates. Like 10 number of herbs per seed. I use averages from currently 269 dwarf weed runs to estimate yield for each combination of juju/no juju and tier of greenfingers. I do this and estimate the profit for each herb under each category to see which herbs come out on top.
Dwarf Weeds would give me a bit more XP per run, but slightly less profit (around 200K less per 50 seeds, assuming 10 herbs per seed).
Nothing more to it than go for whatever you want more. If you want farming XP gains, do Dwarf weeds, but if you do herb runs solely for profit, do Lantadymes.
Dwarf Weeds would give me a bit more XP per run, but slightly less profit
Also, a Dwarf Weed seed dying has a larger impact than a Lantadyme seed dying.
So do DW if you need XP, or Lants if you just care about the money. Obvious answer is obvious.
